It adopts the basic framing device of the classic Arabian One Thousand and One Nights stories pretty faithfully: it starts with the Sultan discovering that his wife is having an affair with his leading general, and is plotting against him. After dealing with the plotters he becomes acutely suspicious of all women. He starts working his way through his harem, night-after-night, having each girl executed after he has slept with them once, so that they cannot then be unfaithful to him. When it comes to be Scheherazade’s turn to be picked she saves her own life by a cunning mechanism: each night she recounts a story for the Sultan, the telling of which lasts until dawn the following day. She withholds the ending, but promises to finish the tale the following evening. In this version of the legend, of course, the stories are all sexually explicit, and are illustrated with very well-shot 35mm film-making into the bargain!Erotic Nights
It gets the plot/sex balance just about right for my tastes, with enough story-line and characters to make it hang together as a narrative but without slowing down or spacing out the fap-worthy sex scenes too much. Annette Haven, as Scheherazade, is gorgeous
